Step 2: Create New Slack App

Slack bots are packaged as Slack apps. Slack apps allow you to add more functionality into your Slack workspace

  • To create your new Slack app, go to this page: https://api.slack.com/apps?new_app=1 and set your app name to OpenWeatherBot.

  • Set the “Development Slack Workspace” to the new workspace you created in Step 1.
